[Yukio’s centered in the feed, having turned the camera on purposely this time. He’s wearing the same black uniform jacket that he arrived in, but there are dark circles forming beneath his eyes that weren’t there a few days ago. Not that he was sleeping terribly well before his arrival in Nesreca (or... ever, really), but the sudden relocation has been exceedingly stressful for him.

He’s smiling, though. Now that he’s had a chance to acclimate it’s time for some more questions, and there’s no reason to be unpleasant about it.]

I’m curious to know just what assets we have to work with in this place. I understand that food and supplies are difficult to come by, so I would appreciate some more information about Credinta, as well as what may be available on this side of the river.

[His expression turns a bit more serious.]

For those of you who have been trapped here longer... Have any of you encountered either Libitina or her master in person?

[Allen nods in agreement, it's best if things never got to the point where they would have to resort to something so drastic. Piloting issues aside, where would they go? It's not like they can simply fly this 'plane' home.

(And boy is it hard to imagine something that huge taking flight. What if it falls.)]

Right, so we'll look for the docks and this 'landing strip'. What does it look like? [ quirking a smile ] Not that the name itself doesn't give me a few ideas, but I reckon it's best to be sure.

It would be pretty much exactly what is sounds like. A long strip of flat land, probably lined with lights on either side.

[Since these 'planes' sound like they come in considerable sizes.]

We'll want to be looking near the city's outskirts then, probably―[ a faint sigh ]―in the direction furthest away from us. When would you like to get started? And do you think there's any information to be found on our side of the river?

[He pauses, thoughtful.] Just how much exploring have you done within Credinta? Have you ever notice anything out of place in the ruins? Maybe odd markings or any other evidence of how this place might've been destroyed?

[Allen takes a moment to consider the question, turning to look out of the window as he does. Everything about Nesreca is wrong, a city-sized blight on the earth. He thinks of the prevalent rust, too much of it dried blood, of open graves stark under the sun like sullen exclamation marks, then turns back to Yukio with a slight shake of his head.]

You can still see― Remains everywhere and even gunpowder sometimes, but it's hard to tell what happened. People must have fought or at least tried to run, I don't think many of them made it.

[Yukio hasn't had the chance to explore very far from the apartment building yet, so he'll take Allen's word on it for now. Whatever it was that hit Credinta... it was quick. Quick and massively powerful. He's hoping to find some more telling evidence when he finally sees things with his own eyes. Hoping.]

... It's possible that we might uncover something with some digging, but that will take time. [Like they don't have enough of that in this place.]

[ promptly: ] I'll help with that too. The graveyard has some shovels lying around and you may want to look there for clues as well. I don't have much experience with the supernatural, so I could have missed something important.

That sounds good. [He smiles a bit.] No, I don't think so.

[Another quick nod before he cuts the feed. Whenever Yukio (and Rin?) get there, the'll find Allen leaning against the doorframe. He's busy entertaining Timcanpy with a quick game of tug-'o-war using a twig, but will turn and smile in greeting.]

[Both brothers exit the building not long after, Yukio offering Allen a nod and a small smile, eyes flicking over to study Timcanpy. Such an odd little familiar.

He's still wearing that thick jacket, and Allen will note the ridiculous masses of crap he's carrying as well as (should he manage a glance behind him at some point) the two pistols strapped to his back.]

[Rin follows right behind Yukio with Blacky, the two-tailed cat, padding along beside him. The cat mews at Allen and eyes Timcanpy.]

Hi Allen! What's that?! [He points at Timcanpy. He's seen demons but nothing like that.]

[That... Gets a slow blink from Allen, but he doesn't comment on it. Ammo is good, large amounts of it even better. They'll need everything they have to take on Libitina and her master.

He may also be kind of desensitised after seeing the massive amount of crap Link (the bitty one) was carrying.]

Hello! [ holds out his right forearm for Tim to land on, the golem's big enough that a finger doesn't really cut it anymore ] Meet Tim, short for Timcanpy. He's my golem.

[Right on cue, Tim flashes a grin at the brothers with all his pointy teeth, but it promptly inverts at the sight of Blacky. Don't you be eating Tim too, sir.]

[To be fair, that giant flap? Looks to be filled with odd syringes. So it's not all ammo. There are several clips still visible, though.]

Are they common in your world? [Because heaven only knows what a golem is, or if it would even translate into terms from their own world.]

[Rin leans closer to Timcanpy to get a better look and grins back with his own not quite as sharp teeth.]

Hey Tim. [Blacky jumps up on his shoulder and mews again. Rin looks at the cat.]

You heard him. He said it's not a bird. [Don't worry Timcanpy. You're too big for Blacky to try to eat at this size.]

[Oh! In that case, he'll just assume the syringes help with the exorcisms somehow and leave it at that. Kind of odd, as are the pistols. Allen always assumed exorcists of this sort would be more partial to... Sorcery or something; perhaps long, incomprehensible incantations while waving ornate staffs around. (Don't judge him, he's not from the most enlightened of eras.) But a boy who can turn his left arm into a broadsword is hardly in a position to speak.]

Only within the Order in my world. We use them as communication devices.

[The corners of Tim's maw veers upwards again at Rin's comment, puffing up his...chest...or whatever passes for it in all his 15cm diameter's worth of golem pride. Damn right he's not a bird. Blacky gets another wary look, but Tim seems content to play nice for now.

Allen, meanwhile, is looking between Blacky and Rin.]

Oh, can you understand Blacky?

[He's starting to head outside as he speaks, tossing Tim the twig as casually as you'd throw a dog a bone. It disappears with an audible crunch.]
