That does seem to be the case. I talked to her before, and at length. [ It was one of the most facepalm-worthy, circular conversations he's ever had. ] She sounded almost like she doesn't know how to do anything else. [ nodding at Rin ] I wouldn't be surprised, but it doesn't explain why it happened in the middle of a play week. She was―[ tone turning wry: ]―already having her fun, so to speak.

[He frowns some more. Here's hoping that wasn't their fault, unlikely as the possibility is.]

[Rin looks at Allen questioningly.]

What do ya mean play week?

From:

[ waving a hand ] Coincidence, most likely. It wouldn't be the first time someone's shown up right before something happens.

[Though not usually of this... scale.]

Oh― Just those monthly occurences I was telling you two about. [ He rubs the side of his neck sheepishly. ] I can see how it might sound sort of tasteless, but we're not sure what else to call them.

Ah, did you miss it? There were messages on our walls that nobody else could see. [ beat ] They weren't very friendly.

[Yukio remains quiet, eyes focused forward on their destination. He definitely noticed the messages.]

[Rin wasn't paying very good attention to that. It would have required reading when so many other things were going on.]

Oh, that. Like I care what some wall says.

[Smiles at that, even though it looks kind of tired, like he had to wring himself a little harder than usual to get it out. His messages have been troubling, but not nearly as much as the way some of his friends reacted to theirs. Allen's just glad Lenalee slept through most of it.]

It was a bit of a dud, wasn't it? Suppose she's forgotten people can often be more resilient than expected.

[He wouldn't be surprised if Libitina did forget after a hundred years of being an undead spirit. It's... Sad.]

Ah, here we are. [ Upnods at the amusement park entrance, then just stops and stares. ] ...I don't think it was this run-down even before the change.

[Yukio does as he did before with the graveyard gates, examining the primary gate carefully and sweeping a critical eye on any surrounding fencing.]

... No traces of circles or seals. It's possible that whatever they did just took that much of a toll.

[Rin walks through the gate with Blacky when Yukio seems to be mostly done with his investigation. It's disappointing that the place is ruined again even if it was a little weird before. He wanders towards the nearest structure, examining it carefully. It just looks like it got ruined to him.]

There anything specific we should be checkin' for here?

[Allen follows Rin through the gate once Yukio's done examining the entrance. He murmurs something to Tim, and the golem peels off from their little group to circle high overhead, presumably checking out the taller rides since many of them look too unstable to risk climbing. At Rin's question, Allen also glances to Yukio for directions, though his attention is mostly focused on a large scratch mark marring the base of a ride nearby.]

[ with a note of apprehension: ] I'm not sure 'toll' is the right word for it.

Again, any odd markings or scra- [Yukio cuts off when he glances over at Allen, catching sight of the scratch that's holding the other exorcist's attention.]

... Or that. [Alrighty, time to get a better look at that.] This wasn't here before?

[Rin walks over to look at the scratch.]

That's a big mark. Wonder what made it?

From:

[ shaking his head ] It was in shambles, but not damaged like this. [ he joins the brothers at the ride, exchanging a blank look with Rin in the process. nope, no idea what made it. ] Does this look like something you could be familiar with?

From:

[Running his finger down the length of the scratch.]

... No chemical traces left behind. Fairly solid, as if from a claw.

[Sigh.] I can't say what made this with just this damage left behind. Almost any demon could've managed it.

You think there are more of them? [Rin looks up at the ride to see if he can spot any higher up.]

So it's possible something other than Libitina and her master could've done this?

[Takes a few steps back and turns slightly so he's standing with his back half-facing the brothers, wary grey eyes scanning the area. Since there isn't much he can contribute to the investigation, Allen figures he's more useful this way ― whatever made those marks, there's no guarantee it isn't still hanging around.]

[ in reply to Rin: ] I'm seeing more. [ he pauses, pointing out a few scratch marks scattered here and there ] Whatever it is, it seems to have gone through the entire place.

This definitely isn't the work of a ghost. [But Yukio's already informed Allen of his opinion concerning the popular belief of Libby and co. being ghosts.]

... We should explore deeper.

[Rin starts walking further into the park, adjusting the strap of his sword bag over his shoulder. If whatever did that is sticking around he might need it.]

What if it's something else working under Libitina's influence? She seems to have some power over the dead.

[Starts after Rin, glancing at his sword bag. Having seen Kanda's before, it doesn't take much to guess what's inside.]
