[Yukio’s centered in the feed, having turned the camera on purposely this time. He’s wearing the same black uniform jacket that he arrived in, but there are dark circles forming beneath his eyes that weren’t there a few days ago. Not that he was sleeping terribly well before his arrival in Nesreca (or... ever, really), but the sudden relocation has been exceedingly stressful for him.

He’s smiling, though. Now that he’s had a chance to acclimate it’s time for some more questions, and there’s no reason to be unpleasant about it.]

I’m curious to know just what assets we have to work with in this place. I understand that food and supplies are difficult to come by, so I would appreciate some more information about Credinta, as well as what may be available on this side of the river.

[His expression turns a bit more serious.]

For those of you who have been trapped here longer... Have any of you encountered either Libitina or her master in person?

[The video clicks on like requested to show Karkat's flat in the apartments. It's not too dark just dim and looks rather like an alien world. The screen is focused by gray hands with yellow claws on the troll himself. His yellow eyes narrow at the screen that bathes his face with blue. ]

[Yukio swaps to video as well, peering curiously. He doesn't seem shocked at all. Maybe a bit wary, but there's no fear or disbelief in his expression.

Karkat's got some demonic-looking traits, sure, but who knows what this 'troll' race even qualifies as. Even if he were a demon, it's not as if they're exterminated on sight without reason.]

I suppose you would be rather noticeable, yes.

[Karkat snorts and gestures with one hand.]

'Rather', try a lot. But I know how to get in and get out at night. I just don't understand what they're saying. I don't get you humans and your inane reasoning about having separate languages when you're all on the same god damn planet. It doesn't make any sense.

Languages developed first in isolated communities, spreading and mingling as people explored the planet. It makes perfect sense.

So you started in different places, not one central location? What about your rulers? Aren't they one united front?

Yes. Every country has it's own set of rulers and laws.

So it isn't all under one imperial Condense.

... No. Meetings are held between world leaders to keep everything running relatively smoothly, but each country operates on their own.

It's been the same way for hundreds of years. Things haven't always operated smoothly, but it's the same basic structure.
