002 . : Okumura Yukio [VIDEO]

[Yukio’s centered in the feed, having turned the camera on purposely this time. He’s wearing the same black uniform jacket that he arrived in, but there are dark circles forming beneath his eyes that weren’t there a few days ago. Not that he was sleeping terribly well before his arrival in Nesreca (or... ever, really), but the sudden relocation has been exceedingly stressful for him.

He’s smiling, though. Now that he’s had a chance to acclimate it’s time for some more questions, and there’s no reason to be unpleasant about it.]

I’m curious to know just what assets we have to work with in this place. I understand that food and supplies are difficult to come by, so I would appreciate some more information about Credinta, as well as what may be available on this side of the river.

[His expression turns a bit more serious.]

For those of you who have been trapped here longer... Have any of you encountered either Libitina or her master in person?

[Rin sits on the floor not far from Yukio with Blacky. Since they're alone at the moment he's not bothering to hide his tail and it's twitching back and forth behind him.]

What are ya plannin'? Don't think ya can run off and leave me outta it.

[Yukio sets the PDA aside, brushing hair back away from his face in a weary sort of gesture.]

I'm not going to "run off". [Because with his luck Rin will burn the building down while he's away.]

We need to learn more about Libitina. She can't possibly be a ghost as we know them, but there still might be something we can do if we can learn enough about her.

Everyone else thinks she's one. How're we supposed ta learn about her when they haven't been able to figure out much and some of them have been here a year?

[He scratches at his head and his tail moves more agitatedly in quick little flicks.]

Well we won't learn anything by sitting around and doing nothing.

Then what are we waitin' for. Let's go take a look around?

[He looks Rin over for a second.]

You can't run off either.

Huh?

[What is that look about Yukio? Rin scowls.]

I'm not runnin' off anywhere.

[Siiiiiigh. He stands and checks over his belt quickly.]

Put yourself together, then.

[He glances around and then tucks his tail up into his shirt so that he can wrap it around his chest. Then he grabs his sword bag and rests the strap over his shoulder.]

I'm ready when you are.

[Yukio heads for the door, intending to lead them outside. No jumping out of the window this time.]

[Rin follows along behind him and Blacky pads along too. Fine. He'll use the door.]

Where are we lookin' first.

[Good Rin.]

I think we should start at the amusement park. [Frown. Hopefully they won't find a demon in this one.]

Yeah. It's weird that it's all ruined and stuff again.

[He quickens his pace to walk along beside Yukio. He'd really like to not find a demon too. Berserking again would be bad.]

The transformation back into working order when it has supposedly been ruined for decades is stranger.

[No berserking, dude. Yukio couldn't even handle it at the moment.]

[Yukio has a point there. Rin thinks about this in silence a few seconds.]

So ghosts really can't do this kinda stuff?

...I kinda looked at one. Ya know I don't learn stuff that way!

I'll learn them when I gotta. It's easier if it's there. How am I supposed ta remember this stuff by just readin;?

Just like everyone else does. It's really not that difficult if you just try.
